STRATEGIC VISION ALONG THE MOSCOW RIVER (80KM)

[eng] Our strategic vision for the development along the Moscow River in Russia (10,400 ha) in coming 20 years is summarized into following 5 principles;

1. TO & ALONG THE BLUE
Great capital deserves great streets. Beautiful River deserves great waterfront. Moscow River is a wonderfully attractive element of the city. With good pedestrian accessibility and improved embankments it can become the most popular public place for all.

2. BEAUTY AT EVERY BEND: Great River deserves great scenery and landmarks. Moscow River consists of a variety of atmosphere and scenery due to its many bends in shape. Enhancement of this specific feature of Moscow River is one of the keys to create Moscow original River-scape. A numerous landmarks standing by the River must accentuate this feature.

3. TURNING GREY INTO GOLD: Great River deserves great neighbourhoods. There are places on the River yet to be discovered. Conversion of big challenges into big opportunities to create both QUALITY & REVENUE. Large-scale new developments must contribute to the public good and follow master plans with urban design guidelines.

4. ENLIGHTENING THE EDGE: Great River deserves great edge. The edges along the quality public space such as River embankment, public space and parks should be optimized for the developments. This will enhance the value of the space as well as optimize the revenue, balancing out the cost of the building and maintenance of public spaces.

5. UNITED NATURE: Great River deserves great nature. A River is not a single steam it is a system. Create green connections that will unite key ecological corridors, the River and the tributaries into one system. De-fragmentation of green/blue structure of Moscow River and tributaries for creating green corridor for all sort of habitat and activities. It also stimulates inward investment and job creation (impact on land and property values).
