CREAM is a specialized and multidisciplinary architecture and design team. CREAM is a highly efficient and organized firm with a strong ability for problem solving through the creative process of design. We are an award-winning design firm. Featured in MoMA, New York City, at the Architecture and Design Gallery as part of a global young design talents of 2013 exhibition.

CREAM have been invited as speakers at different events and conferences. The office have been speakers in the Light Middle East 2019, the Professional Lighting Design and Architecture Forum celebrated in Dubai World Trade Centre (Dubai, UAE), in ACMA-Master di Paesaggio (Milano), in BAU Congress China 2015 (Beijing), in the International Bauhaus Solar Congress Germany (Bauhaus Erfurt), in Rebuild Expo 2020 Innovation Congress (Barcelona) and in the seminar Variomatic specialized in Urban Design held by the Municipality of Eindhoven 2020.

CREAM often academic lectures at universities and educational organizations and conferences in different congress. The office has thaught and lectured at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Universidad Austral de Chile – Observatorio Sur (Chile), Breda University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands), Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (Cátedra de conservación de la naturaleza), Master’s degree in City Resilience design and management of Universitat Internacional de Catalunya UIC (Barcelona), UPC-Etsav (Sant Cugat, Barcelona) and schools of design. CREAM were Junior Teachers in the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya UPC-Etsav (Sant Cugat, Barcelona).

CREAM have received international and national awards and prizes. The office received the ‘First Prize’ from the Young Architects Association AJAC-COAC (Associació Joves Arquitectes – Col·legi Oficial d’Arquitectes de Catalunya) in the category of Urbanism and Landscape. They were also ‘Selected’ and exhibited as part of the Cut’n’Paste Exhibition in the MoMA (New York) at the Architecture and Design Gallery as part of a global Young design Talents. In 2019 CREAM won the ‘First Prize’ in LIT Awards in Street Lighting category (USA), were ‘Shortlisted’ for the [d]arc Awards (London) in Best Landscape Lighting Scheme category and received two ‘First Prizes’ for the ‘Ready Steady Light Competition’ (best concept’ and ‘best technical solution’) in the Light Middle East (Dubai). In 2020 CREAM had received the prestigious ‘First Prize’ Award for Hispania Nostra in the category of heritage and landscape project from Spanish Queen Sofia. In 2021 received the ‘Accessit Award’ Bonaplata Heritage Awards from the AMCTAIC (Col·legi d’Enginyers Industrials Barcelona) and in 2023 the ‘First Prize’ of Sustainable Construction from the Instituto de la Construcción de la Junta de Castilla y León.


The firm is lead by Elisa Battilani and Angel Cerezo Cerezo since 12 years ago, with 18 years of professional experience.

ELISA BATTILANI is an Architect graduated in Architecture of the Construction at Polytechnic of Turin (MSc). She completed her education at TU/e Eindhoven University of Technology. She followed courses specialized in construction sustainability and adaptation to climatic change at the University of Geneva.
After graduation she has been working at the office of Lipparini Architetti Associati (Modena) developing residential projects and at Container Studio Design (Modena) making design of interior.
After her experiences in Italy, she gained considerable experience designing projects in the Netherlands during more than 5 years, there she focused on projects developing floating architecture projects and Interior Design abroad for (Den Haag, The Netherlands), where she specialized in the design related to living, working and recreation on water. She is part of the professional association of national lighting designers.

ANGEL CEREZO is an Architect graduated with Honours (Excellence graduate Award) at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya ETSAV-Barcelona (MSc) and also a Buildings Engineer at Universitat de Girona. He completed his education at TU/e Eindhoven University of Technology. His Master’s thesis project had been recognized with three awards and national prizes (Premio PFC Fundación Once), international (Saie Selection Projects Award Bologna and Finalist Next Landmark Venice) and selected for the Spanish Architecture & Urbanism Biennale XII 2013 and the Landscape Biennale of Barcelona 2012. During his studies he worked with important Spanish firms as Blanca Lleó Arquitectura (collaboration with MVRDV projects in Sanchinarro, Madrid) and b720-Fermin Vázquez (Barcelona). Winner of FPI Scholarship for research PhD staff at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya UPC. Professionally he gained considerable experience working and designing complex projects in the Netherlands during more than 5 years. During the period of studies in TU/e he had been working for the Municipality of Eindhoven. After graduation he was part of offices as KCAP-Kees Christiaanse Architects and Planners (Rotterdam), CePeZed Architecten (Delft) and Juurlink en Geluk Landscape Architects (Rotterdam) developing urban design commissions and a wide range of international projects (specially in Sweden, Russia, China, Belgium and the Netherlands).
